Making a public ledger stop leaking who paid whom

How do you make payments private on a public blockchain without leaving the chain?

A public ledger is a permanent record of who paid whom, which is fine for auditors and hostile to payroll, and privacy bolted on afterwards tends to be the path nobody takes. Two approaches I have built: shielded notes, where public USDC converts into notes and transfers, batch payouts, and market positions all move inside the same note model, and temporal decorrelation, where deposit, wait, and withdraw are severed by rotating channel accounts and layered encryption. VEIL is the first, Tesseract the second, and both are built so the most boring path through the system is also the most private one.
